First, we have J. Christopher's! Bill and his staff always take such good care of us and this week was no exception! Robin and I had a wonderful lunch for a great price. They also cater and do special occasions...why haven't you called them yet?

 

Next, the Italian Way delivered pizza to our offices today and it was delivered by none other Jackie herself...Bill and Jackie will take the best care of you and the food is good as well! stop in or order a pick up or delivery...try it! You'll like it!

 

Next, Rob Cunningham of ADT Security and CeCe Valdez of Kalemeris Construction both ordered Wind Mitigation Inspections from us. This will enable them to save several hundred dollars on their home insurance premiums. The average savings on insurance is between $400-$800. What are you waiting for? By the way, Rob does all the security for CIS AND many members of the Chewning family....great customer service! CeCe and her crew are currently working on a project with CIS right now. Chewning partners with DeVry University for National Award

Chewning Inspection Services and DeVry University have forged a partnership. We work with students doing their senior thesis or projects in Human Resources, Organizational Change and Management. The first such project we did with DeVry resulted in a National Award for the class. We feel very fortunate to work with these talented students and their Professor Pat Knight. This kind of collaboration gives us invaluable feedback but also allows us to make a contribution to the future of our community by giving the leaders of tomorrow experience today. I applaud their determination and hard work as well as that of their professor. Congratulations to Ashlie Melillo, Stephanie Hippensteel and Lynn Kohler along with Prof. Pat Knight...well deserved! Week 2 May Props of the Week

Spring Cleaning Props of the Week

First, one of the unsung heroes of the CABA Golf Tournament was Chris Dedyo of Cash Express. Chris came and dropped off an ATM for just one day and loaded it up specially for our event! If you used the ATM machine that day at Westchase make sure to thank Chris for making it happen.

Next, Susan Layden of Susan’s Organizing Solutions LLC needed a structural inspection on her home. Karla Nielsen of Keller Williams Tampa, called me to confirm that we perform this type of inspection and referred Susan to us. Susan called and we got her taken care of ASAP. Private Provider Inspections- Time Is Money

Time is money. In the Construction Industry with high wages and late penalty clauses, delays waiting on building inspectors can eat deeply into the already slim profit margin.

County and City Building Inspectors are severely overloaded and at no fault of theirs; a permit inspection may be delayed several days. Every lost day costs the Builder hundreds of dollars.

CIS offers three types of building permit inspections:

• Private Provider Permits - CIS performs all of the building permit inspections in the place of the Building Inspector and submits for the Electrical Release and CO at the completion of the project. This arrangement requires approval by the Chief Building Official at the time the permit is issued.
• Inspection By Affidavit - CIS performs the inspections that the Buildng Inspector cannot schedule timely. This process is not accepted by all municipalities and counties.
• After the Fact Inspection - CIS performs inspections that were missed or not performed during the construction. Because of very involved testing for electrical and plumbing, CIS elects not to do after the fact electrical and plumbing inspections in Hillsborough County or the City of Tampa.

Easter Props of the Week!

Charles & Cheryl Visalli of Time for Wine did our gifts for our co hosting gig at the coffee this past week. I gave Cheryl a general idea and she did the rest. What an easy and really unique gift to give to anyone for just about anything! I also bought a couple bottles of what has become my favorite wine, Kadarka!
